Current research projects

There are two research projects currently in progress, both being carried out by Advantica:

• CO Incident data for the year 2005/06, as part of the Joint Industry Programme (JIP).
• Ventilation in Floor/Ceiling

This is an industry-sponsored project looking at the advantageous ventilation provided in voids by modern construction methods. It is linked with compliance to regulation 19(6) of the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998.

Reviews of CO information

• A review of CO incident information for the five year period 1996/97 to 2000/01, produced from the full investigastion of domestic incidents which had resulted from the use of piped natural gas within Great Britain
