Diversity in the workplace

HSE wants to see health and safety as a cornerstone of a civilised society and, with that, to achieve a record of workplace health and safety that leads the world.

Factors like race, gender, disability, age and work pattern may affect people's health and safety in the workplace - and sometimes health and safety is used as a false excuse to justify discriminating against certain groups of workers.

That's why HSE is committed to protecting workplace health, safety and welfare for everyone, whatever their race, gender, disability, age, work pattern, sexual orientation, transgender, religion or beliefs.
