- Simple amendments to the Biocidal Products Regulations 2001
Consultation started on 1 September 2009 and ends on 23 November 2009.
CD227 - A consultative document on legislation to implement the Physical Agents (Artificial Optical Radiation) Directive 2006/25/EC
The consultation seeks comments on the draft new regulations entitled ‘Control of Artificial Optical Radiation at Work Regulations 2010’.
The consultation began on 9 November 2009 and will end on 5 February 2010. - CD226 - Removal of the docks form
HSE seeks comments on a proposal to remove the requirement in Regulation 8(2)(f) of the Docks Regulations 1988 for a certificate confirming the safety of a vessel used to transport a person at work in dock operations to or from any working place in docks premises (excluding such vessels as tugs and pilot boats). Consultation started on 12 October 2009 and ends on 15 January 2010.

The preliminary consultation into the recommendations of the Gill Report on the 2004 ICL Plastics explosion: Effect on the supply and use of LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) in Great Britain and the wider health and safety system. Consultation started on 27 August 2009 and ends on 19 November 2009. - CD223 - Single Equality Scheme
We are pleased to present our single equality scheme 2010-13 for consultation. This scheme explains how HSE plans to meet its statutory duties to promote equality for all groups in society. This joint consultation by HSE and the Northern Ireland Office (NIO) concerns the proposed legislation transposing the European Commission Directive 2008/43/EC on the Identification and Traceability of Explosives for Civil Uses. This consultation also includes Northern Ireland and the NIO intends using this consultation for the purposes of drafting equivalent Northern Ireland Regulations and will not undertake a separate formal consultation. This document seeks your comments on proposed new regulations requiring the notification of tower cranes. Consultation started on 13 July 2009 and ended on 16 October 2009. - CD222 - Proposal for a European Regulation concerning the placing on the market and use of biocidal products
HSE seeks comments on a proposed European Regulation for placing on the market and use of biocidal products. Once in force (scheduled for January 2013), the European Regulation would directly act on all Member States, including the UK and would replace the Biocidal Products Directive 98/8/EC. Consultation started on 27 July 2009 and ended on 5 October 2009. - Survey of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) service pipework at commercial and industrial premises
Managers of LPG gas installations are asked to complete a short questionnaire about their LPG pipelines. Consultation started on 8 June 2009 and ended on 3 July 2009. - Survey on labelling loads guidance
