Carriage of clinical waste: Annex 2 - On the road inspection

Summary of requirements to comply with CDG Regulations when carrying UN 3291 clinical waste

In packages only (not loose bags)

All packages must be rigid (e.g. metal, plastic, fibreboard, etc), they must be UN approved (e.g. 4G, 1H1. etc) and they must have closures (lids) fitted and be marked UN3291 and with a class 6.2 label

	Small load ( up to 333 kg)	Over 333 kg
Fire extinguisher	One 2 kg dry powder. Except for health care workers who carry small amounts arising from patient treatment. (Authorisation 225)	One 2 kg dry powder
Other equipment		1 wheel chock
		High vis jacket for each crew member
		Torch (pocket lamp) for each crew member
		At least two warning signs (triangles or cones etc)
		"eye rinsing liquid"
