The national agricultural shows in England, Scotland and Wales and other major technical events are an integral part of the calendar for farmers and others in the land-based sector.

One of the prime reasons given by many visitors attending these shows is the opportunity to seek and obtain information and advice. These events enable HSE to network with a diverse audience and to promote health and safety with employers, workers and other industry stakeholders.
The agricultural show programme runs from January to September each year.
During 2009/10, HSE staff will be available:
- To provide free advice, guidance and literature on health and safety in the land based sector;
- To highlight the main causes of accidents and ill health; and
- To provide guidance on simple, cost-effective solutions to a wide range of health and safety risks in farming and other land based industries.
