noted trends in accidents and ill health in the coal mining industry
noted that early indications showed the Regulations were being successfully introduced across the industry
discussed proposed change to the law to allow HSE to grant exemptions for remaining provisions of the M&Q Act that did not currently allow for exemption

reviewed consultation process for the reissue of BS EN 60079-19 and other standards
noted work carried out across industry to reassess all manriding installations in shafts in line with ALARP principles
